Why Scooping Up Silliness?

So... after years of hemming and hawing about "should I or should I not blog?" And, questioning, is there really a purpose in blogging? I have finally joined the world of "bloggers" with an odd sense of anticipation.

It is kind of scary. I mean, for starters.. choosing one's blog name is a daunting task. What if the name I choose is ridiculous? Well, of course, my blog name is rather ridiculous. What if ridiculous doesn't go over well?? What if it simply is not memorable enough or worthy of reading due to a bad name???

Or, what if I get started on this blogging business, but then I really never make the time to do it???This is definitely possible.

Well, back to the naming of the name. Why "Scooping up Silliness"? Well for one, silliness is probably one of the best words to describe me. Secondly, I love ice cream. What words can be used to remind one of ice cream more than scooping up? And, lastly, but not least, I really like alliteration. Who cares if some think alliteration is cheesy? I obviously don't. I regard alliteration as a super fun, worthwhile usage of words. Especially when one practices using alliteration late at night, right, Amanda???

So, after sitting at my laptop for about 20 minutes or so while trying my best to think of a creative, memorable, unforgettable name.. (whew...the pressure)I just had to pick one. There are things to do in life besides picking a cool blog name. And, if and when a better blog name pops in my head, I will change it. Till then, it is Scooping up Silliness!

I'm off to Sunday night popcorn and smoothies with the fam !
